The [him] moderator's Argentinian friend assures him that Buenos Aires people draped their obelisk in a giant condom for World AIDS Day. The Independence Monument in Rangoon appears to have little meaning in 'modern day' Burma. Maybe it could sport a condom in December, too. Here are three photos for comparison.

An ICAAP slide, presented by the Director of the UNAIDS Regional Support Team, neglected to include Myanmar / Burma as a country with prevention targets and a costed plan.

I can't find any articles on HIV written by May Thingyan Hein of 'Myanmar Dana' magazine in English or in translation. It would be interesting to see the translated articles that the International Center for Journalists used in making their decision.

It has been pointed out by a reader that the entire UN Country Team is not moving into Traders Hotel.

The UN Country Team in Myanmar may not yet be in bed with Lo Hsing Han but they are now getting a step closer by moving into his hotel.
