Refugees International present new recommendations

Here are new recommendations by Refugees International. Mr Charney went out on a bit of a limb in pronouncing that Myanmar has the highest HIV rates in Southeast Asia – the country is neck and neck with Cambodia for the lead spot. Decreasing incidence and deaths will make prevalence fall in Myanmar in the next while. Treatment will keep prevalence high in Cambodia.

Racial quotas reported

This is the first time the [him] moderator has seen in print what many in Rangoon know: there is a racial quota on the number of nonAsians accepted as heads of UN system organisations by the junta. And the rest of the assessment is sanguine.
