The New York Times takes note of the suffering of those with HIV in Myanmar
A brilliant but black and white heartrending photoessay in the style of James Nachtwey accompanies this article on the New York Times website. The photos are uncredited and undated. …
But the story is superficial. It appears that the journalist did not visit Yangon to write it. Has the Global Fund applied for government permits to bring antiretroviral drugs into Myanmar? That doesn't fit with their usual business model.

DVB misinterprets a comment about relative emphasis on TB and HIV
The [him] moderator thinks the DVB misinterpreted the valid quote from the staff person at the Three Diseases Fund. Khin Swe Win said the number of deaths from malaria and TB (including those associated with HIV) were higher, NOT that there was an overemphasis on HIV/AIDS.
