This report makes it sound as if the Global Fund invited Myanmar to apply for funds from the Global Fund. Although the Global Fund team that visited Burma was encouraging, the door for Myanmar to apply has always been open. It is up to the government-led Myanmar Country Coordination Mechanism to apply. An application for funding will be submitted later this month and a decision made by the Global Fund at their next Board meeting.
