The 9th ICAAP begins this weekend in Bali. It is worth looking back two years at a posting made by the [him] moderator from the 8th ICAAP in Colombo. How much has changed? How much hasn't?

This article says: “However, Aids in China is largely a rural phenomenon, with the virus most rampant in Yunnan province, near the border with Burma, and it is spread by the drugs of the Golden Triangle not sex.” Do these footballers and their UNICEF sponsors think that HIV is spread through drugs from Burma?

ဗုိင္းရပ္စ္ပိုး ၀င္ေရာက္ကူး စက္ခံရေသာ ေရာဂါမ်ားျဖစ္သည့္ အသည္းေရာင္ အသား၀ါ ဘီပုိး၊ စီပုိးႏွင္ HIV/AIDS ခုခံအားက် ဆင္းမႈေရာဂါ ရရွိထားပါက ခႏၶာ ကုိယ္တြင္း ဗုိင္းရပ္စ္ပုိးေကာင္ေရ ေရတြက္ျခင္း (RT- PCR Viral Load) ကုိ ေဆာင္ရြက္ႏိုင္ေၾကာင္း SML Medical & Diagnostic Centre မွ တာ၀န္ရွိသူတစ္ဦးက ေျပာၾကားသည္။

ေရာဂါ သံုးမ်ိဳး တိုက္ဖ်က္ရန္အတြက္ Global Fund ၏ န၀မအႀကိမ္ ေထာက္ပ့ံမႈအတြက္ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံက အေမရိကန္ေဒၚလာ သန္း ၃၀၀ေက်ာ္ ေလ်ာက္ထား ခဲ့ေၾကာင္း သတင္း ေဖၚျပခ်က္မ်ားအရ သိရသည္။

အိတ္ခ်္အုိင္ဗြီ၊ ေအအိုင္စီအက္စ္ ျဖင့္ေနထိုင္သူမ်ားႏွင့္ ကမၻာ့ လူတုပ္ေကြး အပါအ၀င္ ရာသီေပၚ ကူးစက္ေရာဂါ မ်ားကို အဓိကထား ကုသေပးေနေသာ ေ၀ဘာဂီေဆး႐ုံႀကီး အတြက္ ဓာတ္ခြဲ ခန္း/ ဓာတ္မွန္သံုး ပစၥည္းမ်ား လွဴဒါန္း လိုပါက လက္ခံ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးသြား မည္ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း ယင္းေဆး႐ုံမွ ေဆး႐ုံ အုပ္ႀကီး ေဒါက္တာ ေအာင္လြင္က ေျပာၾကားသည္။

Here is a comment on the posting about why are men sicker presenting for treatment of HIV: “Men's health seeking behaviour, not a surprise… men are slower to feel the need for help, sick!!! a gender difference not only socio economic… Interesting.” ….
