Attached is a new 'peer-reviewed' paper on the HIV epidemic in Yunnan. It appears to be almost exclusively blood borne and injection driven.

Many in the region look to Singapore as having a model pragmatic HIV prevention and care programme. Though heavy handed, the regulation of sex work probably prevents transmission. Suppression of same sex sex and drug use is positively Victorian. Even the treatment programme is flawed. This is not much to praise. The junta leaders get safe blood transfusions there.
