HIV ေ၀ဒနာရွင္မ်ားအား အဓိကေသဆံုးေစေသာ တရားခံမွာ Cryptococcosis ဟုေခၚသည့္ မိႈေရာဂါျဖစ္ၿပီး ယင္းမိႈေရာဂါအား ရင္သားကင္ဆာ ကုသရာ၌သံုးသည့္ ေဆးက ကုသႏုိင္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။ University of Rochester မွ ေလ့လာသူမ်ားက ရင္သားကင္ဆာ ေ၀ဒနာရွင္မ်ား၌ သံုးသည့္ Tomoxifen ေဆးအား Cryptococcosis ေၾကာင့္ အဆုတ္ေရာင္ နမိုးနီးယားႏွင့္ ဦးေႏွာက္ အေျမွးေရာင္ ေရာဂါခံစားေနရသည့္ ႂကြက္မ်ားတြင္ စမ္းသပ္ခဲ့ၾကသည္။
