Myanmar is one of the only countries on earth that reports annual progress against its national strategic plan. What? Don't other countries do this? Nope.
This makes it possible to track progress in almost real time. And what progress there has been.
Problems? There appears to be a problem with counting sex workers and men who have sex with men to determine service delivery reach and coverage of these key populations. There is no national population estimate of people who inject drugs. And there were 324,469 pregnant women tested for HIV as part of PMTCT but the number who were positive is not reported. Only the number treated. So programme efficacy cannot be determined.
Is someone working on the 2012 report?
Read on ... and comment.
