Yesterday I made a posting on the Health in Myanmar [him] blog http://hivinfo4mm.org/innovation-is-a-wonderful-thing/ and in the [him] 2497 email. I posted that I searched the internet for any peer reviewed scientific papers or systematic reviews to show that insecticide treated clothing is effective against mosquitoes or against malaria and found nothing.
Thanks to a kind reader who pointed me in the direction of evidence that permethrin treated clothing does protects against mosquito bites. I was wrong about this and regret any inconvenience caused to readers.

There have been only a few studies on the impact of permethrin treated clothing on malaria. And not enough studies for a systematic review to determine the impact. The jury is still out.
I welcome all comments and corrections that readers send me.
