Here is a posting on a photo essay on tuberculosis in Myanmar. It appears that some people portrayed have both tuberculosis and HIV.
It may be a bit 'image heavy' to be seen easily in browsers in the country. But please notice how both patients and health care providers are portrayed in a positive light. No pictures of skinny dying people. Well done.

Dear Stop-TB members,
In the lead up to the 44th Union World Conference on Lung Health in Paris, a micro-site featuring powerful images by renowned Asia photographer Gerhard Joren was launched which provides a snapshot of the response to multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in Myanmar, a country seriously affected by this global threat. Can new diagnostic technology help make a difference?

This site was developed by Inis Communication (www.iniscommunication.com) for UNITAID (www.unitaid.org), following a visit to the country in September 2013. We intend to raise awareness about our catalytic investments in MDR-TB treatment and testing. We also would like to shine some more light on the many committed health workers and their patients that we met in Myanmar, offering a space to tell their story.
All photographs by Gerhard Joren (www.gerhardjoren.com), unless otherwise noted.
Thanks
