A poem written by a mother

Here is a poem written by a mother.  Knowledge and moral support are important to people living with the virus and their families.

Tender words from the heart

The poem below was written by the mother of a young Burmese truck driver with HIV.  The woman wrote to the Myanmar Business Coalition on Aid to express her heartfelt gratitude to the organisation who has helped to save her son’s life.  HIV/AIDS affects everyone.

    TENDER WORDS FROM THE HEART

    My son the truck driver

    His life was eroded by diseases and illnesses related to drug use

    He lost his productivity

    He lost his quality of life

    He always had to go to the hospital

    He faced many different troubles

    He heard that MBCA was giving drugs and nutritious food plus financial assistance with compassion

    Above all these things, they fed his mind with knowledge and moral support

    It was like a warm sunlight in the morning,

    As a mother I will not forget these things, until the end of time

    There is a new sense of gratitude born in my heart again every day

    Allow me to express these tender words from my heart;

    I would like to send metta to MBCA for peacefulness

    May you be healthy, may you experience well-being.
