Medicalization of HIV as prevention ignores the wider issues that may result in HIV transmission.

People need to be able to talk about sex and drug use openly and honestly, particularly with young people. We need to be able to talk about transmission between drug users and partners with some basic sexual and reproductive health information as well as services. We need to get people to talk and understand issues rather than this so called "peer education"  disguised as a form of  a "lecture".

Let's really talk openly about some fundamentals on sex and drug use and get non-biased services for people as prevention rather than pushing the issues under a treatment blanket that once again medicalizes a very real human issue.
