Any confirmation of the HIV information in the new US human rights report?

The 2008 Human Rights Report: Burma by the US Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor notes the following: http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/hrrpt/2008/eap/119035.htm

"HIV/AIDS infection rates in prisons reportedly were high due to communal use of syringes for injections and sexual abuse by other prisoners."

Can anyone confirm this?

"With few or no skills, increasing numbers of children worked in the informal economy or in the street, where they were exposed to drugs, petty crime, risk of arrest, trafficking for sex and labor exploitation, and HIV/AIDS."

Have any reliable studies been released about the vulnerabilies of working children to HIV?

"HIV-positive patients were discriminated against, although HIV activists reported that awareness campaigns helped to reduce discrimination and stigma. However, some persons reportedly were reluctant to visit clinics that treat HIV/AIDS patients for fear of being suspected of having the disease."

Can anyone associated with the clinics that treat people with HIV confirm that patients were reluctant to attend.

The credibility of the report will be enhanced if confirmatory evidence can be presented for the report's statements.
