Thein Sein meets Clinton’s Health Access Initiative officials

Myanmar President Thein Sein yesterday received officials from Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) to discuss the health sector in Nay Pyi Taw, state-own media reported.

The CHAI is a global health organization committee under the Clinton Foundation established by former US President Bill Clinton.

During the meeting, they discussed outbreaks of common diseases in Myanmar such as TB, malaria and HIV/ AIDS.

Moreover, they pledged to cooperate in the distribution of medicines and medical equipment, capacity building of the health staff and providing assistance for technical and finicial sectors.
