The [him] moderator recently wondered whether an Israeli technical assistance provider was biased towards circumcision or was in MM to promote a peaceful Israel. He received the following anonymous comment on the posting:
"The article notes the merits of circumcision and then throws in a random paragraph on Myanmar and Jerusalem AIDS Project founder training AIDS educators. I would wantn't want readers to think that circumcision is the magic bullet for all countries and situations."
The [him] moderator couldn't agree more. Adult circumcision may have a role in high prevalence situations but its role as a new prevention intervention in the concentrated epidemics of Asia has yet to be worked out. Have there been any studies or concept papers on adult circumcision in Myanmar? In Asia?
