I completely agree with your sentiment. Transplanting doctors to unknown/unfamiliar terrain can be the source of many problems, especially when they undermine the network of community health workers, some who gained extensive knowledge and skills over the years they have been working in their communities.  Although the hope is that some/few may have gained invaluable experience in training methods in other countries that are superior to the teaching methods in myanmar and can actually help some situations, having a cautious approach with clear guidelines about their roles and expectations and test their knowledge/skills beforehand may address some of these concerns. People, both doctors and non-doctors need to get over the notion that doctors are infallible as a starting point.
