APPLICATIONS FOR THE IAS-NIDA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME ENCOURAGING HIV AND DRUG USE RESEARCH ARE NOW OPEN
With the support of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the International AIDS Society (IAS) has established a research fellowship programme focusing on HIV and drug use, with the goal of contributing to advances in the scientific understanding of drug use and HIV, while fostering multinational research. Online applications are now open and will be accepted until 10 February 2012 (12am CET).

This fellowship programme consists of two types of awards: US$75,000 to be awarded to a junior scientist for 18-months post-doctoral training and US$75,000 to be awarded to a well-established HIV researcher for eight-month long professional development training, both at leading institutes excelling in research in the HIV-related drug use field.
In 2012, up to four fellowships will be officially awarded at the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012), to be held in Washington, USA on 22-27 July 2012.
