OK, I understand that Mark Dybul the Executive Director of the Global Fund is an HIV guy and cannot know everything about the three diseases his organisation funds.
But he reveals in this video from the ANU, beginning at 32:50, that he lacks understanding of mosquito borne diseases. He says that the same mosquito causes malaria and zika.

Mosquitoes don't cause either of them. They are vectors for the parasite. And the vector for malaria, Anopheles, is different from the vector for zika, Aedes. He proposes bednets for both. Aedes is a day biter
Would someone from the Global Fund please correct him? Or does he rely on 'technical partners' for his information? The initiatives against malaria in Myanmar and the Mekong are two important for him not to understand.
