I am reminded that AIDS was first described forty years ago tomorrow. Can you remember what you were doing? On that day I was finishing up an internship in the emergency room of Hamilton General Hospital in Canada. And I finished my last public health work in HIV two months ago.

Though I still see patients living with the virus. We've all come a long way. And there is still a road ahead of us.
