Medical Assistance & Medical Education (MAME)
Green Shoots is launching medical aid Greenfields programmes articulated around two major initiatives:
Medical Assistance (MA): whereby Green Shoots provides funding grants to build capacity, implement specific medical programmes or sends medical volunteers to help our local partners;
Medical Education (ME): whereby Green Shoots identifies opinion leaders in its countries of operations and defines education programmes to “train the trainers”. This includes arranging for local medical staff to come to the UK/Germany and follow an internship in a specialised hospital, arrange for Green Shoots medical experts to visit our countries of operations and deliver intensive workshops.
The two initiatives combined together form the core of our Medical Assistance & Medical Education (MAME) programmes.
Our first MAME programme is in Myanmar (Burma), where Green Shoots has partnered up with Medical Action Myanmar.
Our second MAME programme is in Vietnam, where Green Shoots provides medical assistance, medical education programmes as well as microfinance programmes for People Living With AIDS (PLWA).
Our third MAME programme is in Kyrgyzstan, where Green Shoots has partnered up with the National Centre of Infectious Disease Control, at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health.
