Health Deputy Minister attends meeting of UN AIDS Control Programme Coordinating Board

Nay Pyi Taw, 25 Dec-The 22nd meeting of UN AIDS Control Programme Coordinating Board was held in Geneva, Switzerland on 17 and 18 December, attended by Deputy Minister for Health Dr Paing Soe.

Also present at the meeting were Permanent Representative of Myanmar to UN Ambassador
U Wunna Maung Lwin and party.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Coordinating Board the Minister of Health of Thailand made an opening speech, and the report of the meeting was discussed and approved.

Afterwards, the Managing Director of UN AIDS Control Programme presented his report, and this was followed by a general round of discussions. And Deputy Minister Dr Paing Soe took part in the discussions.

Deputy Minister Dr Paing Soe and party arrived back here on 20 December. They were welcomed back at Nay Pyi Taw Airport by Deputy Minister for Health Dr Mya Oo, the directors-general and deputy directors-general.

Deputy Director Dr Min Thwe who accompanied the deputy minister also arrived back here on the same flight.
