Position Title : Project Officer (one post)
Location : Yangon
Report to : Myanmar Positive Group
Background
MPG (Myanmar Positive Group/National PLHIV Network, Myanmar) was a network organized by and working for HIV positive people in Myanmar since 2005. The network aim to promote activities that would address needs and concerns of people living HIV. It’s focusing in the area of 1) capacity building, 2) networking, 3) representation, 4) reducing stigma and discrimination and 5) advocacy. Now, the network is seeking a project officer for the sub grant of CWS project. The project officer will provide and manage services in required by the development partners concerned. The post will be based in Yangon.
Purpose of the job
To build skill and increase Greater Involvement of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Myanmar and to reduce stigma and discrimination at all level and to be a strong network. The principal duties and key area of responsibility of this position are outlined below and these duties and key area of responsibility may be modified in time, to meet the requirements of Church World services.
Major responsibilities of this position will be:
• Train and coach the project team in order to deliver quality of facilitation.
• Monitor and evaluate quality and achievement of output in accordance with donor agreement.
• Of timely reports on routine and project activities to the MPG monthly meeting
• Travel other locations as required training and other projects related activities.
• Maintain a smooth mentoring and professional working relationship with beneficiaries.
• Contribute in the development of project activities.
Applicant should have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Previous experience in coach the training activities
• Must have strong interpersonal skill and experiences in facilitation.
• Knowledge on Microsoft office, both Myanmar and English typing skill is preferable.
• Strong written and oral communication skill in English.
• Abilities to respect each others and must have positive attitude.
• Ability to travel within and outside country when necessary
• Ability to coach facilitation team.
