Launch of the proposal development process for a Round 11 Global Fund grant

The Myanmar Country Coordination Mechanism (M-CCM) intends to apply for GF funding under Round 11 in the areas of HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria for helping more people to access the needed services in Myanmar, therefore is launching a Call for Sub-recipient Proposal Concept Note and Principal Recipient Expression of Interests for Global Fund Round 11 grant application.

The technical areas covered under this round of grant for Myanmar, as approved by the Global Fund Technical Review Panel in the review of Proposal Concepts on 25 August 2011 include:

•           HIV and AIDS – Treatment and care; harm reduction for people who inject drugs; health systems strengthening
•           Tuberculosis – Multi-drug resistant TB treatment; TB/HIV collaborative activities; accelerated TB case finding
•           Malaria – detection and treatment, notably in artemisinin resistant areasMyanmar
