EMG is preparing bids for a potential upcoming Local Fund Agent (LFA) contract with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Myanmar, and is seeking local and regional consultants for various positions (listed below).  EMG manages its LFA contracts from its headquarters in Washington DC and relies on locally-based teams to perform substantial work and interact with the Global Fund grant recipient(s).  An LFA team is comprised of a Programmatic Health Expert, one or two Financial Professionals, a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Expert, a Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) Expert, and a Local Team Leader.  The role of the Local Team Leader is often combined with either the role of the Programmatic Health Expert or the Financial Professional. For this upcoming bid, EMG is seeking international candidates for the Team Leader, Financial Professional, Programmatic Health Expert, M&E Expert, and PSM Expert positions.  The Team Leader and Financial Professional will be full-time positions while the other positions are expected to be around 50% of full time (130 days per year).  For the positions that are less than full time, consultants are expected to be flexible in traveling to Myanmar, including within the country, on short notice for assignments.  Burmese language skills are desired for all positions and prior experience working in Burma or high-risk countries is strongly desired.
