TOP centers are more than just centers for community members, not only in Mandalay, but everywhere. One FSW in Yangon said TOP is like my mother's house. What are the FSWs and MSM in Mandalay going to do now? Where are they going to feel and enjoy the warmth of care and friendships among the peers, which they share with each other at Mandalay TOP center?

Over the past three years, TOP center has never created any problems. It only gave benefits to those who needed them the most. It is very shocking to see how a well-running program built over the years could easily be shut down, like a light switching off.

Mandalay TOP centre was asked to suspend its activities for a lack of official permissions, after running for 3 years.

To make matter worse, MoU is still in the renewal process. But, so are the other centers (both PSI and non-PSI) all over the country. We wonder why does it happen specially to Mandalay TOP. There must be an misunderstanding and we must slove it soon, for the sake of those who are relying on Mandalay TOP centre.
