The Country Progress Reports will be used to prepare the United Nations Secretary-General’s report to the General Assembly’s High-level Meeting to be held on 10-11 June 2008. It will also be used in the preparation of the 2008 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic to be launched at Mexico City, International AIDS Conference on 3-8 August 2008.
Shadow reports have been received from Thailand and Indonesia. These community reports are available from the ICASO website. See link below;

As the Asia Pacific host for the Civil Society Support Mechanism (CSSM) APCASO will be using the above reports to prepare a regional summary for inclusion into the Global Summary Report for CSSM. We will produce summary analyses of the current UNGASS process and outcomes, review country progress reports and analyze issues of civil society involvement and the quality of reports
This is another opportunity for CBOs and NGOs to provide feedback on their country UNGASS reporting processes.
We invite your feedback on civil society participation in the planning, consultation, writing and validation of your country report. Please write to admin@apcaso.org by Monday 24 March 2008.
Regards,
Goh SoonSiew
