Was it really four years ago that some people were saying "just give us the money and we will achieve high HIV treatment coverage in Myanmar"? I countered that it took much more than just money.

Millions of dollars have been spent and many human, time, organisational & technical resources have been poured into treatment. Progress in coverage has been made. There have been opportunity costs, too.

Myanmar in this map can be seen to be, with Thailand, the leader in HIV treatment coverage in Southeast Asia.

Higher than rich Malaysia, higher than Pepfar darling Vietnam, and much higher than Indonesia.
