UHC or universal health coverage will benefit the population of Myanmar little unless action is taken on the conditions that cause the most mortality. It is clear that tobacco smoking in men and overweight/obesity in women require immediate action. There are proven 'Best Buys' interventions to respond to NCDs. Myanmar needs to implement them.
