... a space has opened up in Yangon where a very mixed crowd seems welcome to dance the night away until three in the morning in a supportive environment. I was amazed as my eyes had not seen a commercial venue like that in Yangon before. The place plays great music, is relatively cheap with a 3,500 ks entrance entitling to one drink and additional drinks at 1,500 ks each. The environment is clean and modern and Thai style. It is not the usual Burmese "Fashion show style" and does not have lots of people pushing sex. I think it could do with some of the expats around starting to visit and getting out of their usual haunts to ensure support.
