New UN guidance for people who use drugs

The new UN harm reduction + treatment guide is out. It has not changed much from the previous edition.

There are several curious features of the new guide. It is a mixture of evidence-informed recommendations to decrease HIV incidence and things to make users' lives nicer.

The word methamphetamine does not appear in the text and there is only one reference to amphetamine type substances.

It notes "with the exception of needle and syringe programmes, the interventions included in the Comprehensive Package presented in this Technical Guide are also applicable to the prevention, treatment and care of HIV among non-injecting drug users". Perhaps someone call tell the [him] moderator how hepatitis B immunization and care and hepatitis C care are applicable to non-injecting drug users.
