On behalf of the UN and civil society partners involved in the Red Ribbon Award initiative, it is our pleasure and honour to announce the launch of the 2014 Red Ribbon Award on World AIDS Day, 1st December 2013. Attached please find Media Releases in English, French, Spanish and Russian announcing the launch of the Round.
In light of your past interest in the Red Ribbon Award, we wanted to be sure to inform you of the launch of the 2014 RRA Round. The Red Ribbon Award Winners for 2014 will benefit from international visibility and an invitation to participate in the XX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014) in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2014. Representatives of each winning body will present the work of their organization, their priorities, the challenges they faced and their approaches to community engagement in a community dialogue space at next summer's International AIDS Conference, where the Red Ribbon Awards will be presented. Additionally, each recipient of the Award will receive a US$10,000 grant.
More details on the Red Ribbon Award, the categories and criteria for selection, as well as the on-line nomination facility, may be found online on our website, www.redribbonaward.org. The nomination process can be started at this address: http://www.redribbonaward.org/index.php?option=com_nomination&view=nominationlist. Please note that self-nominations are permitted. Previous Red Ribbon Award Winners are not eligible, however.
We look forward to your interest in the Red Ribbon Award and for your continued engagement in the community-based response to AIDS.
With best regards,
The Red Ribbon Award Coordinator
