Call for Master of Arts Scholarship Applications
The Heinrich Boell Foundation Southeast Asia Regional Office, would like to encourage younger generation candidates from Myanmar particularly working in Non-governmental Organizations or relevant fields to apply for available scholarships supported by us in the academic year 2006. Five scholarships are made available each year for the MA study at two universities -- Master of Arts in International Development Studies, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok and Master of Arts in Sustainable Development, the Regional Center for Social Science and Sustainable Development, Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai.
Qualifications
- All applicants with a bachelor’s degree in all disciplines are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Applicants must also have passed TOEFL with a score of at least 500 or IELTS with a score of 5.5.
- Applicants must live in Myanmar and will return to Myanmar after their graduation.
Deadlines of Applications
The application form and all relevant documents must be submitted directly to the University (see below the contact address of the relevant University) and cc to Foundation at mattana@hbfasia.org no later than 7th March 2006.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available annually at least five scholarships are available for those who pass the requirements. The final choice for admission is made by the University. Notification of admission and of scholarship will be sent to applicants in March.
