The calendar has Buddhist and Christian festivals marked but not Muslim ones.
Is this organisation, funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, Vital Strategies and an NCD Alliance partner, a secular one or a religious one?

The non-government group People’s Health Foundation (PHF) and the Kyauktada Township’s Supervisory Team for the Control of Smoking and Consumption of Tobacco Product will honour individuals who respect the anti-smoking areas in the township, a senior official from the PHF said.
“We will conduct a post-project survey after the Smoke-free Kyauktada Township project ends, and then we will award persons who are trying their best to respect smoke-free environment in non-smoking areas,” Dr Thein Swe, vice president of the PHF said.

The Smoke-free Kyauktada Township project was initiated last September to create tobacco smoke-free environments to protect the public from the dangers of tobacco smoke. It will end in June this year. The project was approved and supported by the Yangon City Development Committee.
Among the areas declared as smoke-free zones in Kyauktada are public and private office buildings, restaurants, trains and vessels for passenger transport prescribed through notifications by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The township’s Supervisory Team for the Control of Smoking and Consumption of Tobacco Product has regularly inspected over 150 non-smoking areas in the township.
The team mainly gives guidelines to carry out education and awareness campaigns to let the public be aware of the different non-smoking areas in Kyauktada. It also conducts awareness campaigns about the harmful effects of tobacco products on health.

Data from the inspections of the team showed that only 25 percent of people follow the prescribed no-smoking ban on certain areas. About 45 pc do not follow the instruction while another 25 pc follow regulations not related to the no-smoking ban. About 5pc of people said they have no knowledge of the existence of the regulations.
“We will award smoke-free certificates to people who help create tobacco smoke-free environment in any of the non-smoking areas in the township. We will also continue watching and inspecting the no-smoking areas even after the project ends,” said U Htoo Kyaw, Kyauktada Township administrator and leader of the Supervisory Team for the Control of Smoking and Consumption of Tobacco Product.

The People’s Health Foundation will also attempt to have the ancient city of Bagan in Mandalay declared a smoke-free heritage site during this year.
Earlier in the year, the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance, a regional anti-tobacco advocacy group, cited Pindaya Caves in Shan State for promoting a healthy environment and preserving the uniqueness of its culture by being a smoke-free heritage site.
