Location: Room A, ICAAP Colombo

Synopsis:
In 2006 the response to AIDS in Myanmar achieved significant progress: a new National Strategic Plan was developed, including the completion of the costed Operational Plan; and in late 2006 the 3-Diseases Fund (3DF) was launched and became operational in early 2007. With these key developments, in 2007 there is a real and tangible opportunity to continue to expand the AIDS response in Myanmar with the aim of reaching Universal Access. To fund this expansion, the mobilization of additional financial resources is an immediate and urgent priority.
