Transgendered people are not included in the new Myanmar national strategic plan as a group on their own. They are 'included' among men who have sex with men.

Dear All,
On behalf of APTN working group member, I would like to raise this issue regarding using of software on planning and projection of the HIV/AIDS intervention program. In this software we transgenders are excluded and Nepal is launching this software soon. We request all concerned authority that we should be included in this software as other male and female. It is unacceptable for us that we are again going to be counted as MSM. Again we extremely demand that "do not project us in MSM category " but we need our specific term so that it would be good for future planning for any program relating Transgender.

Dear all,
I heard, if you open the link and download, the AIM from "software spectrum" developed with support from UNAIDS and WHO and endorsed by both agency championing on HIV/AIDS have excluded, yet again, transgender population even from the system. This spectrum is crucial for policy makers and decision makers. Excluding transgender shows how far we are away from the reality and not even recognizing the most vulnerable population's existence won't help to response HIV/AIDS. The spectrum ultimately make possible to be included, reported and estimated of male and female population only.
This is outrageous and need to be amended to make transgender inclusive immediately.
I call you all to call UNAIDS and WHO to take immediate action and change the spectrum software and make it transgender friendly.
