"Gee moderator, why do you have to be so negative. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Let people do what they can to educate people on HIV and if they can change the behavior of one person and one person only, it will benefit the society as a whole. You ever heard of the saying "prevention is better than cure"? I have always read your comments with interest but this one is something I have never thought I would hear from someone like you.
The [him] moderator responds with: "I wrote nothing in the original post about education. It is important. Education is a necessary first step to changing behaviour but not sufficient to change it. The environment needs to be conducive to change. "Raising awareness", on the other hand, will never or only rarely change the behaviour of even one person.
