Remember the vid and article on World AIDS Day? Here is a comment from a reader:

"There are no low dead space syringes in the video. The pile of used syringes at the end of the video (11:20) are all high dead space syringes.

The story largely glosses over a major problem. It is the proliferation of "drug treatment" programmes, run mostly by religious groups, using methods that have no basis in evidence. There is no methadone allowed or other harm reduction in them. These programmes violate users' human rights."

Though I am still delighted that distribution of sterile needles and syringes takes place there and applaud the brave people who do it.
