Kyi May Kaung is reporting in her blog that "Monks contracted AIDS from shaving thindone dah". There is not a shred of scientific evidence that this is true. The [him] moderator thinks that we can safely ignore head shaving with 'thindone dah' as a means of transmission. When a monk has HIV one has to ask oneself difficult questions. But we must not hide the truth that sexual and injection equipment means are the most likely ways of acquiring and passing on the virus.
