"Yes it seems very probable that without even Cotrimoxazole available to delay progression to death (proven several times in Africa and Asia) that AIDS patients are dying in large numbers both before and after ARVs are started. The real culprit in all this is the Government. They are doing so little to address the health problems of the people, that it makes the few NGO's in AIDS/TB treatment look good by comparison. Why should the international NGO's continue to shoulder the burden of this major epidemic when the Myanmar government does so little???"

"Most countries in the world are having increasing CD4 counts at ART starting time. In Myanmar, our CD4 is getting worse! So people are even more worse when they starting the ART. So of course there is high Early death - because it is too late! Even Drop-out real reason is actually death."
