Two years until the next ICAAP in Bangkok

Thanks to AIDS Asia for announcing the next ICAAP. That is two years away. But since it is so close to Myanmar we can expect better participation.

[Thailand is selected as the venue for 11th ICAAP. Thailand will be hosting ICAAP for the 3rd time!. The following is the letter from Regional Coordinator of AIDS Society of Asia and the Pacific to it's members]

Dear ASAP ExCo members,

Good morning and I hope all are well. Between the 12th-18th July , the ICAAP 11 Selection Committee had undertaken reviewing of the three ICAAP 11 final bids (from India, Thailand, and Macao).

The Macao bidding team had communicated their wish to withdraw their bid for ICAAP 11, and has promised to re-submit again for ICAAP 12.

The two finalists that had therefore been considered during the selection process are CARE from India and PDA from Thailand. I've attached the final evaluation sheet with the selection committee's group result for your reference.

After much discussion and consideration of several factors, it has been decided that the Bid from Thailand has proven to meet most of the required criteria for undertaking the ICAAP 11 project, therefore Thailand has been selected as the 1st preferred location for the next ICAAP.

A site visit will be conducted by the selection committee before the ExCo meeting and a presentation will be made on the first day of the meeting.

Your comments are most welcome, and do let me know if you have any further questions or would like more information in this regard.

Thank you and have a nice day,

-Nicole
