INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The leaders of efforts to fight HIV and AIDS in eight foreign countries are in Indianapolis to learn about education and prevention programs under a State Department exchange program.
The visitors from India, Kuwait, Tanzania, Poland, Myanmar, Eritrea, Suriname and Mauritius will meet with experts in Indianapolis through World AIDS Day next Tuesday.
The International Center of Indianapolis arranged the trip under the sponsorship of the State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program. The program is designed to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries. http://www.icenterindy.org/
Some of the visitors planned to help prepare meals Thursday for the Mozel Sanders Thanksgiving Dinner, 1 of the biggest dinners for the needy in Indianapolis.
