World AIDS Day marked in PyinOoLwin

PYINOOLWIN, 20 Dec-The ceremony to mark the World AIDS Day was held at Ayeyawady hall of PyinOoLwin Township BEHS No 1, here, on 5 December.

Chairperson of Mandalay Division Maternal and Child Welfare Association Dr Khin Thidar and Head of Division Health Department Dr Khin Maung Tun opened the ceremony by cutting the ribbon. Medical superintendent of PyinOoLwin Hospital (300-bed) Dr Tin Nyo Nyo Lat explained the purpose of holding the ceremony.

Next, the chairperson, Daw Moe Thidar, wife of the Mandalay Mayor, Daw Thu Zar Wai, wife of the PyinOoLwin station commander, and chairperson of Pyin-Oo-Lwin District MCWA Daw Mar Mar Lwin presented awards to the students at different level who won prizes in essay, poem and painting contests to mark the World AIDS Day and viewed photos and posters displayed at the ceremony.
