HIV ကို မသိၾကေသးခ်ိန္မွာ ျဖစ္တယ္။ အဲဒီကာလမွာသံုးတဲ့ Hepatitis B surface proteins ဆိုတာထဲမွာ HIV ပါေကာင္း ပါေနႏိုင္တယ္။ ေဆးထုတ္ျပီးစ လူနာအမ်ားစုကို စမ္းသပ္တဲ့ ကာလမွာ AIDS epidemic ေရာဂါမ်ားတာ အတြက္ အျပစ္ဖို႔ခဲ့ၾကတယ္။ ဘီပိုး ကာကြယ္ေဆးထဲမွာ HIV ပါေနမလားလို႔ ေမးခြန္း ထုတ္ႏိုင္ေပမဲ့ ကင္းစင္တယ္လို႔ လက္ခံ ထားၾကပါတယ္။ Purification process ေဆးသန္႔စင္ေရးျဖစ္စဥ္ကေန ရွိရွိသမွ် ဗိုင္းရပ္စ္ေတြ အားလံုးကို ေသေစခဲ့တာမို႔ HIV ပိုးလဲ ပါခဲ့အံုးေတာ့ ေသျပီ။ ၁၉၈၁ မွ ဘီပိုး ကာကြယ္ေဆးကို အသိအမွတ္ျပဳခဲ့ပါတယ္။

က်န္းမာေရး ဝန္ႀကီးဌာနသည္ ကုလသမဂၢ လက္ေအာက္ခံ အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ား၊ ျပည္တြင္း ျပည္ပမွ လူမႈေရး အသင္းအဖြဲ႔မ်ားႏွင့္ လက္တြဲ ၍ ျပည္သူမ်ား၏ က်န္းမာေရး ေစာင့္ေရွာက္မႈ လုပ္ငန္းမ်ားကို ပူးေပါင္း ေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ ရွိပါသည္။ အဆိုပါ အသင္းအဖြဲ႔မ်ားအနက္ MSF Holland (Medicins Sans Frontieres – Holland (AZG) အဖြဲ႔၏ လုပ္ငန္းအားလုံးကို လုံးဝရပ္ ဆိုင္းေစၿပီး လူနာမ်ား အား ေဆးဝါးမ်ား ေထာက္ပံ့ေနမႈမ်ား ရပ္ဆိုင္းေတာ့ မည္ဟု သတင္းမ်ား ထြက္ေပၚလ်က္ရွိရာ ျပည္သူမ်ား အျဖစ္မွန္ သိရွိေစရန္ ေအာက္ပါ အတိုင္း အသိေပးအပ္ပါသည္။

ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံ အတြင္းက ရခုိင္၊ ရွမ္း၊ ခ်င္းျပည္နယ္ေတြနဲ႔ ရန္ကုန္ၿမိဳ႕တုိ႔မွာရွိတဲ့ သူတုိ႔လုပ္ငန္းေတြ ပိတ္ပင္ခံလုိက္ရတဲ့ အတြက္ HIV/AIDS ေ၀ဒနာရွင္ေတြကုိ ေဆးကုသမႈ မေပးႏုိင္ေတာ့ဘူးလုိ႔ ေၾကညာခ်က္မွာ ေဖာ္ျပထားပါတယ္။ ဒါ့အျပင္ တီဘီေရာဂါ ေ၀ဒနာသည္ေတြလည္း သူတုိ႔ အသက္ကုိ ကယ္တင္ႏုိင္မယ့္ ေဆး၀ါး ကုသမႈေတြ ခံယူလုိ႔ မရေတာ့ဘူးလုိ႔ ဆုိပါတယ္။
