An article in the Irrawaddy has this curious paragraph: “Secretary Clinton outlined a strategy to create an “AIDS-free generation” in her speech on global HIV/AIDS a few weeks ago at the US National Institutes of Health. It was a factual, practical and encouraging speech that addressed challenges as well.” … Secretary Clinton said nothing in this speech about sterile needles. How factual and practical is that?

ကုလသမဂၢ အတြင္းေရးမႉးခ်ဳပ္ ဘန္ကီမြန္းက ဒီေန႔ ကမၻာေပၚမွာ AIDS ေရာဂါ အျမစ္ျဖတ္ႏုိင္မယ့္ အေနအထားကို ေတြ႔ေနရၿပီျဖစ္ေပမယ့္ ဒီေရာဂါ ျပန္႔ပြားမႈကို ဆက္တိုက္ ဖ်က္ရာမွာေတာ့ ရံပံုေငြရရွိမႈ ျပႆနာဟာ အေရးပါလိမ့္မယ္လုိ႔ သတိေပးလိုက္ပါတယ္။

တရုတ္ႏိုင္ငံ အတြင္း HIV/AIDS ျဖစ္ပြားမႈ ႏႈန္းထားမ်ား မွာ ျမင့္တက္လာခဲ့ေၾကာင္း က်န္းမာေရးဌာန တာဝန္ရွိသူမ်ား၏ အေျပာကို ကိုးကားျပီး ႏိုင္ငံပိုင္ သတင္းဌာနမွ ဗုဒၶဟူးေန႔က ေျပာၾကားလိုက္ ကာ ေကာလိပ္ ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားႏွင့္ အသက္ၾကီး အမ်ိဳးသားမ်ား အၾကားတြင္ ေရာဂါကူးစက္မႈႏႈန္း တိုးတက္လာခဲ့ေၾကာင္းလည္း သိရသည္။

ၾကာသေတးေန႔တြင္ က်ေရာက္သည့္ ကမၻာ့ AIDS ေန႔ကို အမ်ဳိးသားဒီမုိကေရစီအဖြဲ႔ခ်ဳပ္႐ံုးစိုက္ရာ ရန္ကုန္ၿမိဳ႕ ဗဟန္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္တြင္ က်င္းပခဲ့ၿပီး ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ တက္ေရာက္ကာ အမွာစကား ေျပာၾကားခဲ့သည္ဟု လည္းသိရသည္။
